The BCT-1450 is an excellent bridge between manual ratchet crimp tooling and semi-automatic crimp tooling. It is operated in a similar way to a conventional ratchet hand tool, but the power required to crimp the terminal is supplied by the motor within the hand tool. All that is required is to place the terminal in the jaws, insert the wire and squeeze the handles. The tool then crimps the terminal to the correct tensile pressure.
This makes a significant difference if there are a number of crimping operations to be made, as it removes the risk of RSI (repetitive strain injury).
The tool is supplied with a set of dies for Red/Blue/Yellow pre insulated terminals and a range of other dies can be supplied.
The BCT-1450 Micro with intuitive PowerSense function combines the benefits of manual crimping pliers with the convenience of battery powered hydraulic crimping tools.
